Everything worth knowing before you arrive
House rules, legal requirements and arrival logistics, explained in full so that nothing on this page turns into a surprise at the desk. If your situation is not covered here, call or email before booking and the staff will answer directly.
- Arrival and departure
- Check-in runs from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and check-out from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM. If your flight or train falls outside those windows, tell the twenty-four hour front desk in advance and store your bags with them; the lockers and luggage room exist precisely so an early arrival does not cost you a whole day of sightseeing.
- Children and extra beds
- Children of all ages are welcome in the house, and guests aged eighteen and above are charged as adults. Cribs and extra beds are not available, so a family travelling with small children should look at the triple room, where three separate twin beds already sit in one private space.
- Check-in age and identification
- No minimum check-in age is listed for the property. Bring your passport for every guest in the booking, since registration is a legal requirement for accommodation in Egypt and the desk will need it on arrival.
- Pets
- Pets are not allowed anywhere in the building. Guests travelling with an animal will need to arrange separate accommodation elsewhere in the city.
- Cancellation and prepayment
- Cancellation and prepayment conditions are set by the room type you choose, so they change from one category to another. The terms attached to your specific selection appear on the booking page before you confirm, and it is worth reading them if your travel dates are still moving.
- Egyptian and Arab couples
- Under Egyptian law, Egyptian and Arab couples may be required to present a marriage certificate at check-in. This is a national regulation rather than a house rule, and the front desk applies it as written.
- Dormitory regulations
- Under local regulations, Egyptian nationals cannot stay in mixed dormitory rooms. Egyptian guests should book one of the private room categories instead, all of which are available with a private or shared bathroom.
